Even after all these years after I first watch someone heat embossed a stamped image, I still find the whole process magically. Mind you I have far better tools than when I first got into heat embossing & actually used my old toaster to melt the embossing powder.
And what better way to use the magical process of heat embossing than with a magical card. I just love the dragon in the Storybook—Scrapbooking stamp set & it was the perfect magical creature to use.

I stamped the Dragon with Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad & used Princess Gold Embossing Powder ( I mean with Princess in the product name – what else would you use LOL) & as I did not get the matching Thin Cut dies, I fussy cut the dragon out, but you could totally use the Storybook—Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts. I created a magical background using Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink and some spritz of Gilt Gloss Spray & Balmy Night Shimmer Spray over a die cut background from the Storybook—Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts – I really liked the dotted swirls & stars that seemed to make this background even more magical.
This was framed with the Curved Rectangle Frame Thin Cuts cut out of White Daisy Cardstock & finished off with a Gold Embossed crown over a Hope it’s a magical Day sentiment from the Storybook—Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.
Do you still find embossing magical?
I hope you enjoyed what I created & inspires you to get your crafting gear out to have a play.
