Even though I had loads of handmade cards in my stash, the request was for a One Year Birthday card that had some jungle Animals on it. Well there is a Giraffe & Elephant in the Hot Air Balloon Fest Stamp + Thin Cuts set & well the bunny is just a cute addition.

I used the Dragonfly Wishes Stamp + Thin Cuts + Stencil Background Card Front thin cut die to create my background, I thought with it on the blue background, it looked a bit like wind swirls. I used the Floating By Stamp + Thin Cuts + Stencil Background Card Front thin cut die off cuts of the clouds so that I had a bunch of clouds ready to use.

The Hot Air Balloon Fest Stamp + Thin Cuts was stamped directly onto the background as well as onto the marbled purple paper from the Life’s a Hoot Paper Packet & onto some white daisy.

I ended up fussing cutting the top of the balloon & the basket to do the paper piecing as I wanted the hot air balloon strings to appear on the blue sky.

The critters were coloured in using TriBlend™ Markers & I added some marker colour detail to the balloon & basket. I finished off with the Happy Birthday banner across the balloon.
