FINDING THE BEAUTY IN THE SMUDGES

The Subtle Elegance of Gray

Roses are a timeless symbol of beauty and elegance. But when rendered in grey, they take on a whole new level of sophistication.

Today I am using the Freshly Made Sketches #634 to explore the captivating effect of using Charcoal (which is similar to Stampin’ Ups Basic Gray) with the Layered Beauty stamp set to create unique and dramatic background.

Gray offers a unique and versatile alternative to black, adding a touch of sophistication and subtle texture to your artwork. For this card I used Charcoal Cardstock & stamped the Layers of Beauty Rose image in Charcoal ink and filled in with some of the smaller flower & leafs stamps. I stamped onto the white cardstock with Charcoal ink & coloured the Layers of Beauty Roses with Ice Grey Blends & Shades alcohol markers. The strip of white is bordered with Charcoal Cardstock and a sentiment stamped in the middle.

Try these ideas for a different look

So, grab your stamp pad, unleash your creativity, and let the timeless beauty of the rose bloom on your next artistic adventure!

  1. I love the elegant dark and white matching patterns that you created! It’s lovely behind the sentiment. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
