Bewitching Potions & Spells: A Spooktacular Pop-Up Card

I really wanted to make a pop up card & show you all one of the new Online Exclusives that you can purchase now and the The Potions & Spells Bundle was perfect for this pop up style card.

Materials

The Potions & Spells Bundle
The Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder
Assorted colours of Stampin’ Blends
The largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Basic Black A4 Cardstock
Silver Foil Sheets
Oxidized Copper Specialty Designer Series Paper

Building the Cauldron Scene on the front

Die Cut out the Cauldron from the Basic Black Cardstock
Die cut the handles from the silver foil & attached to the Cauldron
Stamp the bubbles (optional add some extra colour with some Stampin’ Blends
Die cut out some bubbles & attach to the Cauldron
Stamp & die cut the books twice & colour in with Stampin’ Blends and attached together (optional mask off the words in the spine & add your own)
Die cut the bottles from the Oxidized Copper so they look like old bottles of potions
Die cut the Broom from a scrap of Country Woods Designer Paper & add some thread.
Attached all the pieces together to form the Cauldron Scene.

Creating the Pop up

Cut a piece of cardstock that is 4″ tall & score ½”, 1½”, 2½”, 3½” & fold to form a rectangle box.
Attached one of the skinner ends of the box to the bottom of the card so this rectangle now sits flush to the bottom of the card.
Note this design best suits a top fold card

How it All Came Together

Create a 4¼” x 5 ½” top fold card
Adhere a 4″x 5¼” white cardstock in the middle, this will add weight to the back of the card as well as create a place for you to add a message inside.
Emboss a piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cardstock with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder & adhere it to the front of the card
Add the rectangle pop up box to the bottom of the card
Add your die cut square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to the front with the stamped image
Add your Cauldron Scene to the front of the pop up box

With a little creativity, you can use the Stampin’ Up Potions & Spells Bundle to create a variety of spooktacular cards for Halloween. This fun and interactive design is sure to delight witches and warlocks of all ages!
