My desk is full of brand new stamp sets & dies & I started to play around with a couple to get some ideas on what I would make to share in the future so started off with the Freshly Made Sketches #663 – A Sketch by Jen M & next thing you know I stepped into a world of vintage charm with this handmade card.

The Sketch

I choose to have a standard card front & not a square & be inspired by the sketch. I created an ornate frame from the Storybook Friends Die set (available to customers in January) to represent the inside square and a distressed background using Elements of Text (available to customers in January) & watermarking for the backround square. My strip of Countryside Inn DSP in the middle is thinner but adds the same charm.

The rabbit which reminded me of the Peter Rabbit Illustrations was coloured in Stampin’ Up Blends helped pull together this whimsical handmade card with a vintage feel. Perfect for a springtime greeting.

The stencil stamping did not quite work out, but still helped give it a vintage feel to this Peter Rabbit Inspired card. This is also a sneak peek of some new products that arrived that I just had to play with. #stampinup #stamping #cardmakingideas #cardmaking #papercraft #papercrafting
