Step into nature with this peaceful 3D scene crafted using the Scenic Adventure Bundle from Stampin’ Up! I wanted to recreate that feeling of serenity you get when standing at the edge of a forest lake, with mountains in the distance and birds flying overhead—and this card came to life through ink blending, clever die layering, and a simple W-shaped cardstock technique.

Ink, Layers & Landscape.

Each element was die-cut, ink-blended, and positioned with depth in mind. To achieve the 3D effect, I used accordion-folded “W” strips of cardstock between the layers—creating distance and movement across the scene. The trees were shaded in a gradient of greens, while the water and mountains were softly inked & splatter with Wink Of Stella to mimic the shine on the water & natural textures.

This card folds flat for mailing, but opens up into a dimensional work of art—perfect for masculine birthdays, retirement, or anyone who loves the great outdoors.
