If you’re anything like me, you love a background that does more than just sit there looking pretty — you want texture, contrast, and personality! This card is a mix of playful patterns and layered florals, grounded in rich Secret Sea ink.

A Bold & Beautiful Floral Card with Secret Sea & Strawberry Slush.

To start, I stamped the Stripes from the Stripes & Dots Stamp set in Secret Sea ink and ran it through my die-cutting machine with the Pattern of Friendship Dies, which added those stitched dotted lines between the stripes — so satisfying for that subtle extra texture! Then, I created the lower panel by stamping the Dots from the Stripes & Dots Stamp set in the same ink, then blending more Secret Sea over the top to deepen and ground the design.

Now onto the flowers — my favourite part! Using the Charming Day Stamp Set, I stamped the florals on both the light and dark sides of Two-Tone Cardstock in Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink. The leaves are a gorgeous mix of Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green, which really pop against the cooler background.

A hand-cut “Hey” sentiment (also from Charming Day) and a few Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls give the perfect final touch.

This card is all about balance — crisp lines meet soft petals, bold colours meet quiet details. Give it a go, and don’t forget to mix your patterns fearlessly!
