There’s something so striking about a protea — bold, textural, and full of personality. This card features the new Stampin’ Up! Petal Arrangements stamp set pull-apart design, meaning you can use it as a full background stamp OR break it down into individual elements to create custom compositions – which is exactly what I did here!

Beyond the Background: Creative Uses for the Petal Arrangements Stamp Set
For this card I stamped the proteas onto white daisy cardstock & coloured them in with Stampin’ Blends, Darling Duckling for the yellow centres, a mix of Flirty Flamingo & Strawberry Slush for the pinks & various greens.
The stamp set doesn’t have a matching die cut, so either you stamp your flowers in an arrangement & leave the card as is, or fussy cut them out like I have for this card.
I cut my designer series paper to fit my card card, added some glimmer paper (which added some sparkle & glam to the card) onto the edge of my white panel and started to arrange the flower pieces. This is when I noticed I needed more grounding & bring in more of that Secret Sea colour of the designer series paper.
I did second & third & fourth generation stamping in Secret Sea Ink with the little line background stamp that is in the Sweet Blooms stamp set and blended some of the Secret Sea over the top & then arranged my flowers.
I used adhesive sheets to back my paper, before die cutting out the word Lovely and then on the left over background I stamped & white embossed the words Have A & Day and cut them up to put into the card arrangement. To complete the card, I added a few subtle pearls
I hope this card inspires you to get creative with your Petal Arrangements set!
