There’s something a little magical & ethereal about vellum. It softens colour, adds a gentle glow, and instantly gives your card a light, dreamy feel — without needing a single fancy technique.
For this card, I paired the stunning Petals of Beauty and Words of Beauty bundles with one of my favourite “hidden gem” products: Stampin’ Up!’s Iridescent Treat Bags which work beautifully with vellum.

Yes — treat bags! They die cut beautifully, and when layered behind your white floral outlines, they create the prettiest shimmer.
To start off this project I die cut my flowers with adhesive sheets (my go-to for intricate dies — no mess, no shifting, just easy). I then adhered the flowers on the front of the vellum card. And I am going to share the secret to getting that soft dreamy colour on the front.
The Secret: Colour on the Back!
Here’s the trick that takes vellum cards from nice to stunning – colour on the back of the vellum with Stampin’ Blends! When you do this, the colours become beautifully muted and soft, creating that dreamy, watercolour effect. It’s like looking at flowers through a misty morning – just gorgeous!
Everything else is kept clean and white so the vellum can truly shine.
A simple “just because” sentiment finishes it off — perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all.
