Sometimes you start with a cute stamp and end up on a creative journey you didn’t expect. That’s exactly what happened with this Turtle-y Awesome card!

Turtle-y in Love with This Textured Card Design

This card features the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set—and yes, he really is turtle-y awesome. I stamped and die cut him, coloured with Stampin’ Blends, then popped him up on foam tape for dimension. His little purple balloon (also popped up!) adds the perfect touch of whimsy.

The background is where I got to play: watercolour paper die cut with the Textured Notes die, then textured using the packaging technique, wet ink splatters, and embossing paste through a stencil. All that texture creates such visual interest!

Layered over the coordinating Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper (those green swirls!), vellum for softness, and Highland Heather cardstock for that pop of purple.

Quick tip: Don’t be afraid to combine multiple techniques on one background. The layered effects create depth you just can’t achieve with a single technique alone!

This card reminds me why I love paper crafting: you can take simple, cute images and transform them into artistic statements!

Remember: Spend $125+ this month = Product of the Month for $9! + the Creative Bonus & you would have also earned $12.50 in Stampin’ Rewards
