There’s something so peaceful about a garden bench, isn’t there? That quiet invitation to sit, rest, and take in the beauty around you. That’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture with this card.
Packaging Technique Magic: Creating Realistic Sky Backgrounds
I experimented with the packaging technique to create a soft, dreamy sky background using Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon inks. By applying ink to plastic, spritzing it with water, and pressing it onto cardstock, I achieved this beautiful cloudy effect that became the perfect backdrop for my scene.
The star of the show is this charming bench from the Gliding Garden Dies, cut in Azure Afternoon with a Balmy Blue cushion waiting to welcome someone to sit and stay awhile. The Peaceful View stamp added those gorgeous tree silhouettes in Night of Navy, creating depth and that serene garden atmosphere.
Using the new Fabulous Sayings stamp set (Product of the Month!), I added a heartfelt “thank you so much” sentiment on its own cloudy background panel with linen thread for a handcrafted touch.
Sometimes the best thank you cards are the ones that offer not just words, but a feeling—and this one says, “Take a moment. You’re appreciated. Rest here.”
