See how white die cuts, Stampin’ Blends colouring and layered details come together to create this bunny basket card. Featuring the Easter Basket Bundle, Sweet Bugs Dies and a touch of foil.
The Sketch that Inspired the Card
This card is a great example of how a sketch can spark creativity! I was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches #719 – A Sketch by Judy to create my card

This card came together by letting go of perfection and leaning into texture.

One Design, Many Details: Die Cutting & Blends
This card came together by layering simple elements and letting the details do the talking. I started with a strip of patterned paper from the Easter Joy Designer Series Paper, which already has a beautiful foil treatment — perfect for adding a little shine without extra effort.
All of the die-cut elements were cut from white cardstock and then coloured using Stampin’ Blends. This is one of my favourite ways to work because it gives complete control over colour placement while keeping the overall look cohesive. The basket, bow, grass and scalloped detail come from the Easter Basket Dies, while the mushroom and flower are from the Sweet Bugs Dies, adding a playful touch to the design.
The bunny was stamped in Black Memento Ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends, keeping the colouring soft and gentle so it doesn’t overpower the rest of the card. I finished everything off with a butterfly from the Softest Spring Mix & Match Puffy Stickers for a little extra texture and movement.
This design is a great reminder that white cardstock, a few dies and some colouring can go a long way.
I Don’t Make Easter Cards I hear you say?
The Easter Basket Bundle from Stampin’ Up! is one of those delightfully versatile sets that goes far beyond traditional card making. Think about it: fill it with flowers for a spring birthday, add treats for a May Day celebration, or use this idea as the perfect embellishment for Easter egg packaging. The possibilities truly are endless.
