Sometimes our best creations come from working through challenges! Today I’m sharing this vibrant “Celebrate” card I made using the Simply Beautiful Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

I messed this up… and I LOVE the result!

My vision was to create a realistic, dimensional Simply Beautiful flower by carefully colouring with Stampin’ Blends using Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and watercolour pencils, then cutting into the petals and shaping them with my embossing tool. Here’s where things got interesting: I accidentally had my silicone mat on TOP of my glass mat instead of having it on a soft surface like a mouse pad, which meant the surface wasn’t soft enough to properly shape the petals without leaving marks.

But you know what? I’m actually thrilled with how it turned out! To hide those embossing tool marks, I die-cut black stamens and added them to the centrre, which gave the flower even more depth and realism. The cluster is grounded on a beautiful Granny Apple Green blended background that really makes those warm orange and yellow tones pop.

The finishing touch is that gorgeous gold “Celebrate” sentiment from the Unforgettable Times Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack. The layered Melon Mambo and black mats frame everything perfectly.

The Simply Beautiful Bundle is perfect for creating stunning floral cards with endless possibilities. Have you tried this bundle yet?
