Some cards just come together in a way that feels a little bit magical. Soft, glowing colour. A tiny cluster of sweet little birds. And a sentiment that says exactly what you need it to. That’s exactly what happened when I created this card using the Cutest Crew collection from the March Online Exclusives — and it became the perfect project to feature inside my Creative Bonus.

What Is the Creative Bonus?

The Creative Bonus is my gift to you when you place an order of $75 AUD or more through me. It’s a downloadable PDF I’ve put together with genuine care — because I wanted to give you something that would actually help you create, not just a list of products.

Here’s what’s packed inside:

  • A Scrapbook Sketch — a ready-to-use layout sketch so you can get straight to creating, no staring at a blank page required
  • A Card Sketch — a clean, adaptable design that works across collections and skill levels
  • Colour Combination — curated palette with notes on why it works, so you can use them with confidence
  • A Creative Planner — a fillable planning page to map out your project before you pick up a single stamp, start from a sketch, or a prompt or even a colour combo.

And there’s more tucked in there too — a few little surprises I think you’re going to love. I’ll let you discover those for yourself.

How I Used the Creative Planner for This Card

The Creative Planner page inside your bonus is designed to bridge the gap between inspiration and action. It’s where you jot down your colour choices, the techniques you want to try, the supplies you’re reaching for — and most importantly, a photo or sketch of the project you’re working from.

For this card, I used the planner page to map out everything before I started creating. I’ve done something a little different with this one — I’ve overlaid the card sketch directly onto the finished card photo, so you can see at a glance how the sketch translated into the real thing. It’s a small touch, but I find it really helpful for understanding how a sketch can guide you without locking you in.

It’s my way of saying thank you for supporting my small business.

Techniques Used

This card is a lovely example of how a few simple techniques can come together to create something that feels elevated and polished. For this project I used:

Embossing with the Beautiful Patterns 3D Embossing Folder — subtle texture that catches the light and adds a tactile layer of interest
Colouring with Stampin’ Blends — smooth, layered colour that really brings those little birds to life.
Blending brush to extend colour — this is one of my favourite tricks: applying ink with a blending brush behind a die cut to “extend” the colour onto the background for a seamless, glowing effect
Die cutting — crisp, clean shapes that frame the image beautifully

Remember: Spend $125+ this month = Product of the Month for $9! + the Creative Bonus & you would have also earned $12.50 in Stampin’ Rewards
