Thinking Outside the Fold: A Cheerful Daisy Die-Cut Creation

When I saw the Freshly Made Sketches #635 I thought the design was just perfect to create an offset gatefold design. This technique creates a fun twist on the classic gatefold card, with one side slightly smaller than the other, just like the sketch.

I also thought I would use the charming Stampin’ Up Cheerful Daisies to add a touch of sunshine.

First thing was to work out what measurements to use to create this card to fit the sketch. These are the measurements I used.

Once I did that I decided that I would use the Country Wood DSP which is has the Misty Moonlight colour in the design. I paired this with Daffodil Delight cardstock which I stamped the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set of the three little daisies for some texture to match the texture already in the DSP.

I die cut all the Daisies & leaves out of white cardstock & added some colour with inks & layered it all together. I used the label as the closure of the gatefold.

The Cheerful Daisies Dies and an offset gatefold card base are a match made in crafting heaven! This combination allows you to create stunning, one-of-a-kind cards that are sure to impress. So, grab your dies and get creative!
