I had a bunch of pre-made hot foiled Classic Greetings and Butterfly Flight in a tray ready to use for any project – I mean a bunch as I played with my new Stampin’ Hot Foil System a lot! So when I say this card came together quickly – I think these pre-made elements really did do all the heavy lifting & made it easy to put together.

Double Tower Card

So the sides are meant to represent a tower but I really wanted some wider sides to show off the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper (which has it’s own gold foiling already printed on it) and that set the soft blush and gold colour story for this card.

I die cut some squared to create the white diamond frames and the gold foiled diamond sits centre stage.

Then came the easy part – the decorating. I added the already hot foiled “happy birthday” sentiment from Classic Greetings, pulled out the decorate masks to colour in my hot foiled Butterflies from Butterfly Flight and decorated the card.

What makes this card even more unique I backed it with another Tower card on the back does that make it a quadruplet Tower Card? I don’t think so, it just allowed me to make this stand nicely & have the pull action on the side & gave a nice panel on the back to write the message.

My favourite time-saving habit – is when you batch a hot foiling session — running through several sheets and multiple designs at once — you end up with a little library of ready-to-use pieces. Then, on a day when you just want to sit down and make something (rather than set up and run the hot foil machine), you can go straight to assembling.
