A Happy Hello and welcome aboard our Make Waves Paper Suite Australasian, Close to My Heart Blog Hop.
If you have arrived here from the amazingly creative Kara Davies then you are in the right place.
If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this blog post – where you will discover lots of ideas using the Make Waves Paper Suite
This bright playful Make Waves Paper Suite is a fun paper pack to play & create with. While the paper pack lends itself to under the sea type theme – the colours in the pack are great for any theme.
Today I am sharing two birthday cards that use the colours within the paper. First one is this cute 18th Birthday card & the next is a flower themed card. Two cards with very different looks using the same papers.
The 18 was cut using the Number Thin Cuts – I did a partial die cut so that I could create balloons. And used the dog from the Operation Smile™: Punny Pals stamp set- he actually floats a bit when you move the card. The fun papers & the Make Waves Gems are perfect for a Birthday card.
The second card I used the Chelsea Gardens -Scrapbooking stamp set & stamped with the same colours featured in the Make Waves Paper. I used watercolour pencils to create some depth in the stamped flowers.
I hope you enjoyed what I created today & if you did so, please leave a comment before you head over to the very talented: Vandra’s Virtual CTMH Craftroom who I am sure will showcase something absolutely wonderful.
Enjoy the hop & thanks so much for taking the time to check out these ideas with this month’s feature on the Close To My Heart Make Waves Paper Suite…Til next time, see you soon & keep creating!
