There are times you create for someone Just Because they deserve to know that you are thinking of them & there are times you create Just Because you want to.

This was a bit of both, I know someone who loves purple & dragons and I really wanted to create a card based off an idea I had in my head of a dragon floating in clouds. So time to use the Storybook—Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts

So I started off with creating my window with clouds using the Cricut by adding a square to the card front size I wanted to use & subtracting the window out. I then found some clouds in my images& welded the clouds to the window. I also cut another set of clouds which I was unsure if I was or wasn’t going to use at the time, but of course I did.

I noticed that one of the pattern papers in the Life’s a Hoot Paper Packet looked a bit like watercoloured background with splatters & some lighter areas that made it look a little bit like a sky, just in Grape instead of blue & thought that it would be easy to use that instead of making a sky out of ink.

Once I picked the grape paper & I already knew I was going to use the Dragon from the Storybook—Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts, I knew he had to be purple as well.

I coloured him in with TriBlend™ Markers using a mix of Purple TriBlend™ Marker, Lavender TriBlend™ Marker, Hydrangea TriBlend™ Marker, Dusty Purple TriBlend™ Marker &
Pink Violet TriBlend™ Marker to get the colouring I wanted.

I finished off by with some White Opal Liquid Pearls™ on the wings & Gold Shimmer Brush on the belly.

I used some 3-D Foam Tape to get some hight & that allowed me to set back the other clouds that I cut out & the background & to ensure that the dragon was sitting within the clouds.
