Get ready to play a game of scrapbook tic-tac-toe with the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. This theme was chosen by Sherry Roth – Creative Design Team Member.

If you have arrived here from Sharon Dalton – CreativeMe68 (Australia) then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please check out all the others who played along by following the link at the end of this post.

This month it is Tic Tac Toe Board, which you choose your own adventure. Diagonally, Straight through the board from left to right or right to left or choose the middle lines. So Tic Tac Toe Boards are a FUN way to incorporate a couple of different elements on your scrapbooking layout to give yourself a challenge.
Change the Theme, Not the Charm
I had the Stampin’ Up Sweet Days of Autumn DSP sitting in my paper file & was going through photos that I had printed & not yet scrapped & realised that the fox on one of the DSP was the same colour as the fox stuffie in these adorable photos. This DSP has a classic autumnal colour palette but I really did not want to look too much like it was autumn, so I introduced Night of Navy Countryside Inn DSP into the mix and as I had to use the Colour Green the 3 colours (Cajun Craze, Night of Navy & Mossy Meadow) is a classic Triadic colour scheme and thus was the start of this Scrapbook Layout.

I’ve chosen the row with Splatter Colour Green and Torn Paper from the Tic Tac Toe Board to create a fun and dynamic layout. But in the end I also managed to get the middle row of The colour green, 3 or more photos & tags (well I added one tag!), it is amazing what a challenge jump off point can help you create.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Tic-Tac-Toe Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. Be sure to leave a comment before you hop on over to the next blog Tina Parsons – Lovescrappin on the list to see more creative inspiration. Happy scrapping!

I started off by tearing into the striped Countryside Inn DSP and adhering it to my Very Vanilla base. I extended the Night of Navy colour with a decorative mask (stencil) the I blended over lightly & splattered with the Night of Navy ink & with the Wink of Stella.
I brought in the the Colour Green next, once again tearing the bottom of the paper. This formed the photo mat.
I created my title with the Wanted to Say Dies, using the You’re Too Kind & cutting off the Kind word, the shadow part was cut out the Cajun Craze I created my title with the Wanted to Say Dies, using the You’re Too Kind & cutting off the Kind word, the shadow part was cut out the Cajun Craze Sweet Days of Autumn tree pattern & the top in Very Vanilla. The word Cute is an old CTMH alphabet stamp & die set. I added the fussy cut fox to the top of the T starting on my title cluster. I also stamped you make my heart smile (this is from the Layers of Beauty stamp set) under one of the photos, I also found some old CTMH puffy heart stickers – I have already requested that Stampin’ Up make some of these types of embellishments as I love them.
I felt the top of the page was missing something so created a small flag cluster, adding a fussy cut tree & bird & the word cute (from the Otterly Amazing Stamp Set) stamped onto Very Vanilla. I also added some tabs to the top of the photo for the date. I also added an old CTMH cross stitch stamp at the top of the stripped paper.
I added more to my title cluster introducing some of the Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack under the title. I did cut off the green scallop from one of the pieces as the rest of it did not fit the look & theme. And then found one of the tags was the perfect colour to add to the side. I stamped Love you Lots (from the Otterly Amazing Stamp Set) onto the tag & added Garden Green Natural Tones Linen Thread to it & then finished off with a couple of Regal Foiled Adhesive-Backed Dots.
